چکیده

In this article, in order to optimize diesel aftertreatment system with periodically reciprocating flow (PRF), an experimental study is conducted investigate its characteristics such as pollution emissions, regeneration of particulate filter (DPF), concentration, and size distribution matter (PM) escaped well temperature under unidirectional PRF operating conditions. The effects cycle exhaust gas on the performance are investigated detail. energy efficiency analysis also carried out. Experimental results show that (a) lower than light-off threshold combustible gas, cannot restrain formation second particles low-temperature condition flow; (b) demonstrates excellent trapping symmetrical formed. PM 92%, specific consumption β 124% for distribution; (c) increase could lead shifting profiles, would affect particle (d) a certain from engine have insignificant change (e) critical reach 96.61%.

Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine with Cottonseed Oil Plus Diesel Oil Blends

aIn the present study a 4-stroke 5hp diesel engine was tested with Diesel oil plus cottonseed oil blends. The blends in different proportions (10 to 50 percent by volume) were tested at constant speed of 1500 rpm. The said engine is operated at different loads and characteristics like Brake power, Brake thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption etc. Engine performance for blends resulted in...

Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine fueled with Diesel-biodiesel-JP-4 Blends

The main objective of this research is to study the effects of JP-4-biodiesel-diesel fuel blends and operating parameters on the emission characteristics of a CI engine. The experimental tests were performed on a four-cylinder DI diesel engine. The Mixture-RSM method was used to develop mathematical models based on experimental data. The results showed that with the increase of the biodiesel pr...

Computational study on the effects of exhaust gas recirculation on thermal and emission characteristics of HCCI diesel engine

In this paper, a computational in-cylinder analysis of HCCI diesel engine was carried out using IC Engine FORTE (ANSYS 18.2) software package. The analysis used pre-defined industry standard CHEMKIN format for specifying a chemical reaction mechanism during the combustion duration. The investigation was carried out for the effects of various EGR mass percentages on the thermal and emission char...
